Our Story

Bridging isolation with grassroots care

College Care Collective was founded on a simple observation: college is challenging, but no student should have to navigate every hurdle alone in a quiet dorm room. We pull chairs together, share real resources, and make sure every student across Indiana has a community holding them up.

Operating completely independently from academic administration, our network offers direct peer encouragement, resource navigation, and open-door conversations when students need them most.

Core Philosophy

Open-door care, direct encouragement, and zero administrative red tape across every campus we touch.

We believe support should be immediate, accessible, and grounded in genuine human connection rather than institutional bureaucracy.

Why Independence Matters

A Different Kind of Campus Support

When student support is tied strictly to university administration, certain barriers naturally emerge. Navigating mental health struggles, financial uncertainty, or academic burnout often comes with fear of academic penalties or administrative oversight. By operating as an independent nonprofit, we offer a safe, confidential space where students can speak freely and receive honest peer guidance.

Our mentors are not grading papers or enforcing policies; they are fellow community members who have walked similar paths. This peer-to-peer trust transforms how students experience higher education, turning isolated survival into shared resilience.
